Below are some of the data extracted from the recent (October/ November 2013) Tuition, Salary, and Benefits Survey of ACSI member schools. Over 1,400 completed surveys were returned out of the nearly 3,000 member schools who were invited to participate; so these results are a good representation of the ACSI membership.

School Demographics
• Average student enrollment—272
• Enrollment of 700 or more—8%
• Schools at full enrollment/capacity—less than 1%
• Schools reporting enrollment decrease of greater than 5%—29%
• Schools reporting enrollment increase of greater than 5%—28%
• Accredited schools (all accreditations)—60%
• Percent of accredited that are ACSI accredited—61%

School Budget
• Average operating budget—$2.1 million
• Schools with operating budgets of $500,000 or less—25%
• Schools with operating budgets of $2 million or more—33%
• Portion of budget funded by tuition alone—81%
• Percent of budget allocated for tuition aid—10%

• K–12 teacher with BA—$25,000
