Fresh n’ Sealed by Lacerta Group to Debut at PACK EXPO 2014

Q: Could you tell us some background on Lacerta Group, Inc.?
A:We are a family owned business started over 20 years ago. We have two facilities; one is Massachusetts with design, mold making and thermoforming capabilities, and one in Mexico with thermoforming and injection molding capabilities. We manufacture packaging for food, medical device, cosmetic, retail and industrial applications.

Q: What is the company’s focus these days?
A: Food by far is the largest segment of our business. We have stock items and we do a great deal of custom packages.

Q: Are you introducing anything new at the show?
A: We are introducing our new Fresh n’ Sealed tamper evident packages for the food industry at the show. This package offers tamper resistance, tamper evidence and is leak proof. In addition we offer them in printed versions where the tear away tabs are printed in red to identify if the package has been tampered with, and the rim is printed in another color. The printing will enhance the package, increase branding and sales. We feel our customers will be able to differentiate their product on the shelf.

Q: How are you different from others in the market?
A: What differentiates us from our competitors is our commitment to customer service, flexibility, love of doing business and our innovation. We constantly work to offer our customer unique, cost effective and practical solutions. With design, mold making and production all done in-house we are able to get our customers product on the shelf quickly and that has been a strong advantage for us. It is all about customer service and speed.

Q: Where do you see the company going in the future?
A: I see us continuing to grow, we have been growing double digit over the last five years. Our formula for the future is the same; focus on the customer and staying innovative.
