100 Years of Dental Hygiene: Proud Past, Unlimited Future After taking your submissions and counting your votes, we have a winner for the tagline for the 100th anniversary logo! The win-ner, “100 Years of Dental Hygiene: Proud Past, Unlimited Future,” earned over 47 percent of total votes. Look forward to seeing it in all 100th anniversary celebration materials! The 18-month celebration, which kicked off at CLL/AS in Phoenix this year, runs through December 31, 2013. ADHA has lots planned before the 100th anniver-sary celebration at next year’s CLL/ AS in Boston. Plan to attend now, as it will not be just any meeting: it’s the celebration of a century! With the generous support of Wrigley, we are able to provide many great resources to assist you in your community service and day-to-day activities. This year’s theme, “Keep them Clean, Keep them Healthy” continues our emphasis on incorporating a simple oral health regimen into a busy lifestyle. In keeping with our strategic plan, ADHA is committed to helping dental hygienists achieve their full potential as they seek to improve the public’s oral health. A poster supporting this message, sponsored by ADHA and Orbit gum, is included with this issue of Access . “Thanks to our continuing partnership with Wrigley, National Dental Hygiene Month celebrates and supports the important work that dental hygienists do to improve the health of not only their patients, but of their communities,” said ADHA President Susan Savage, RDH, BSDH. ADHA is encouraging dental hygienists across the country to get involved with NDHM this October to help increase public awareness about the importance of good oral health. But another part of NDHM is recognizing the work that dental hygien-ists do every day. ADHA members should look for a special mailing in October.
