DAY 1—WELCOME!

Unpack and settle in at your comfortable hotel for three relaxed nights before meeting your fellow travelers and Discoveries Director at a welcome reception.

DAY 2—TASTES & TALES OF OUR IOWA/BLOOMS AND BUTTERFLIES/SALVAGE CRAFT

DAY 3—SPEILER TOUR/CANAL WALK/TULIP PARADE

Join a knowledgeable spieler (Dutch guide) on an open-air wagon tour of Pella’s many highlights, tulip gardens and landmarks. At the Scholte House Museum & Gardens, visit the home of Pella’s founder still adorned with 150 year old wallpaper, artwork, and furnishings. Enjoy free time to stroll along picturesque Molengracht Canal and flower-adorned Central Park—famed for its tiered fountain, massive sundial, 20,000 tulips, and 65 foot high Tulip Toren. Your reserved grandstand seats put you right up front at Pella’s Grandstand Show featuring Dutch dancing and singing, the Parade of Provinces, presentation of the Queen’s Court, and traditional street scrubbing. Next up: the exciting Tulip Time parade, featuring elaborate floats, marching bands, and residents in authentic Dutch costume! Afterward, step back in time at the Pella Historical Village, with the boyhood home of Wyatt Earp, Blacksmith Shop, General Store, and tallest working windmill in the U.S. Cap the day off with a traditional Dutch dinner. DAY 4—PAPPAJOHN SCULPTURES/ CAPITOL DOWNTOWN/HALL OF PRIDE

Today, tour distinctive sites of Iowa’s capital city, from the impressive Pappajohn Sculpture Park and vibrant downtown to the Iowa Hall of Pride, a state-of-the-art interactive celebration of “all that is good about Iowa”. After a festive lunch, return home enriched by Iowa’s springtime beauty, friendly folks, and unforgettable Dutch celebration. B, L
