Ad-ditionally, traditional fluorescent T8 fixtures have an almost omni-directional, even light output since they use low pres-sure mercury-vapor gas as the light source. And the average LED tube has maximum intensity straight down with a much narrower “beam angle” as the led chips are staggered on the linear stripes. American Bright Lighting Introduces T8 LED Tube

Higher Efficacy and a More Uniformed Light Pattern Sets Product Apart

CHINO, Calif.—American Bright Lighting offers a newly engineered T8 to replace fluorescent tubes with LED technology. With dramatic energy savings and their long lifetime, facility managers can recover their investment in just one to three years.

While most T8 LED tubes haven’t reached the same light output level as fluorescent fixtures, typically 32W according to the latest CALiPER report on linear LED lamps, American Bright’s provide more than 100lm/w (bare lamp, 3000K) and more than 2500lm on a system level (two tubes in 2x4 troffer). Additionally, traditional fluorescent T8 fixtures have an almost omni-directional, even light output since they use low pressure mercury-vapor gas as the light source. And the average LED tube has maximum intensity straight down with a much narrower “beam angle” as the led chips are staggered on the linear stripes. However, American Bright’s design has a more uniformed light pattern, mimicking traditional options while reducing unwanted glare.

Reducing maintenance costs and time is a big issue with facility managers. Currently, installers need to rewire the ballast to replace linear fluorescent tubes with LEDs. Fluorescent T8 are designed to operate on a line-frequency rapid start ballasting system, or high-frequency electronic ballast at slightly less current. However, American Bright’s LED replacement tube requires no re-wiring as it includes an electronic design compatible with existing electronic rapid start ballasts and sockets. This is good news for facility managers because it involves less downtime and reduced costs.

“These luminaires are ideal for property managers who want to reduce energy costs and maintenance time while also taking advantage of local utility incentives and rebates for upgrading the lighting technology,” said George Lee, president and CEO, American Bright Lighting.

Product Features:
• Multiple lens options for various applications
• Direct replacement design with wide input voltage for easy installation
• Uniform light distribution, no hot spots or glare
• Helps save energy and reduces carbon foot print

American Bright Lighting’s T8 LED Tube Lights are designed as an energy efficient replacement for traditional fluorescent fixtures for commercial and institutional markets. While they resemble the look of traditional fluorescent T8 lamps, they operate with the benefits of LED technology and have superior color rendering, offering bright, even lighting.
